Singapore Green Plan 2030: The Overview

Singapore Green Plan 2030 is the national roadmap for sustainability, launched in February 2021 and led by five ministries: Sustainability and the Environment, Trade and Industry, Transport, National Development, and Education. It sets out five pillars that touch nearly every part of daily life and business in Singapore.

The five pillars

Who it affects: Everyone. Residents, businesses, and institutions all have targets or obligations somewhere in this plan.

What's live right now: Several schemes under this plan are already in effect or launching in 2026, including the Extended Producer Responsibility framework, the Beverage Container Return Scheme, and the National Plastic Passport. Each has its own Policy Decoder entry, linked throughout this hub.
