The Making Room

Losing a job is hard. The days that follow can feel aimless, heavy, and uncertain.

The Making Room is a free weekly open studio at The Interchange, for anyone who's recently lost their job and is still finding their footing.

This isn't a workshop; there's no one guiding you through steps. It's a shared two hours to sit down, sew, and make something with your hands at your own pace, out of polymailers, beverage cartons, and packaging waste that would've ended up in the bin.

No agenda, no pressure, no expectations. You don't need any experience. You don't need to explain yourself. You just need to show up and make something.
