The Lab Experiments

What is The Lab?
Most waste streams in Singapore end up in one place: incineration. Not because the materials are useless but because no one has figured out what to do with them yet.
The Lab is where The Interchange does that figuring out. We take discarded materials that fall through the cracks of conventional recycling, work with them hands-on, and document what we find.
What they're made of. How they behave. What they can become. What still needs solving.
This isn't a showroom. It's a working research space and these posts are our open notebook.
Why we publish this
We're not the only ones working on this problem. If our findings help another maker, researcher, or organisation figure out what to do with a difficult material, that's a win. The circular economy doesn't need more secrecy, it needs more shared knowledge.
